the worst are the people that are so vehemently anti-nuclear power because they've heard of like two or three (
maybe four) disasters and they think that it's almost certain to happen again with their own power plant.
the two most commonly argued disasters are chernobyl and fukushima. what they never bother to learn is how much the technology has improved over the last half century and that simply not building the plant on a fault line could avoid the issue entirely.
another misconception is that if it were to have a disaster, it'd explode like a nuclear bomb, which is just fucking dumb, but the fear still sometimes comes up.
