whatmin i just tested hosting a tor hidden service website that's accessed over a regular domain and it works surprisingly well, i thought things were going to run much slower

it's pretty cool how you can host something from your home like this without opening any inbound ports in your network or running vpn tunnels and not even the reverse proxy server will know the origin server's ip

the domain points to a server running nginx that proxies the requests via socat to the server's tor proxy which then finally proxies the request to the actual onion address that points to my home server that is actually hosting the website

from the client perspective it's indistinguishable from accessing any other domain

tried out i2p for hosting, on the project website they say it's faster than tor hidden services but it's actually considerably slower, even after i've upped the low bandwidth limits

i'm going to try lokinet next, honestly i'm not a fan of the whole crapto angle it has going on for it, what's your opinion on it whatmin

yes, the focus is less on accessing clearnet sites and more on accessing the sites internally on the network unlike tor, and that's what i was doing but it was super slow, maybe i just don't know how to configure it properly

Mint was popular when I started using Linux in 2012 and it's still popular today. I don't know why, it's freaking Ubuntu with an ancient hacked fork of Gnome2.

Anything but Arch-based distros is trash for desktop and if you really need a graphical installer you can use CachyOS or EndeavourOS.

The US government spends about 20% of tax revenue just paying interest to creditors alone

They are currently adding 2 trillion more debt each year (the deficit), the interest on this snowballs.

It's pretty obvious why gold is skyrocketing, we're about to test the sustainability of the US monetary system.
Interest payments being an increasingly large % of total tax revenue, what happens when you're paying 30, 40, 50% of all tax revenue on just interest?
It's not exactly a distant future problem either, 2 trillion more debt each year + interest on that debt? What real-world value and wealth gains are going to pay for this? Literally by 2030 shit will already be dire.
