and yeah i locked myself out dozen of times trying to get this to work and i didn't even really understand why, it's not really intuitive at all and half the guides i found online were written for older versions and reference stuff that literally doesn't exist in the gui anymore or were far in depth in scope for really complicated setups where i couldn't follow them at all

uhhh that's no fun and i don't want to get a knock on my door
more importantly i have like 15 mbits of upload only and i am behind cgnat so will need to use a vps as a reverse proxy anyway and pretty sure anything tor related is against TOS for every service out there

on its own, yeah
that's where the vps server comes in to act as a reverse proxy and forward all requests to my home server over a vpn tunnel
well in theory, i never done this before but i don't see any reason it shouldn't work

that's odd, it used to work
it starts working when i bring down the vpn tunnel and bring it back up again, but then it seems to stop working again…
no idea why that is happening
i'm using frp to forward traffic now instead…
