It's all falling apart. See what they're doing? Soon you won't be able to build your own pc they simply won't have any parts for sale. Windhoes is not even an OS at this point. Linux is pozzed. Cloudflare is omnipotent I get error 500 at least once a week. My ISP has started enforcing some kind ai bullshit firewall and it's already affecting what I do on the internet. It's obviously tracking everything I do. I mean before it was mostly jocular crackpot conspiracy theories about how the government is spying on you. No, now they're very transparent about it. What a bullshit time to be alive. The most ridiculous part is we still have it good now as it will only get worse. Fucking kikes.

Prices will come down (slightly to the new normal), you don't need to use Windows, Linux is based and unpozzed, Cloudflare isn't any worse than they've always been, governments spying on you has never been a conspiracy theory.

Cars and traffic camera spying is worse, geolocation from small details in images, AI-based packet inspection, Palantir-style databases, are all worse.

Have a beer.

Samsung, Hynix, and Micron are shaking in their Tims right now over getting sued again by every DRAM-using manufacturer on Earth including the big AI companies, they're getting threats and phone calls right now from the big dogs, telling them they better not cut production again.

They're part of the backbone of computers, not Gucci or Rolex. They can't just keep artificially limiting supply and get away with it.

but isn't this whole thing caused by openai just straight up buying 40% of upcoming global ram production from both samsung and hynix
micron is straight up just exiting the consumer market

why do you think things are going to get better so soon

If they just stopped stopped producing the RAM everything would be fine. You couldn't blame them if they were still producing the RAM to the best of their ability and it was just organic higher demand raising prices.

>micron is straight up just exiting the consumer market

Aren't they just dropping their consumer brand Crucial, and will still sell to Kingston or G.Skill or whatever who will still make RAM modules with Micron chips.

how is a single company calling dibs on 40% of global ram production not count as higher demand

>Aren't they just dropping their consumer brand Crucial, and will still sell to Kingston or G.Skill or whatever who will still make RAM modules with Micron chips.

aka they've exited the consumer market
bottom line is there will be less consumer ram being made in the end
