I couldn't muster the courage to confront him, so I just grabbed my things and left. when I got home mom asked me for the change, and I couldn't explain why I didn't have the money on me, so I lied and told her I lost it. She thought I was trying to cheat her out of the money and demanded I empty my pockets and shoes. I did and when she couldn't find it she called me a retard.
