My new monitor looks so good, it's PREDICTABLE how much monitor tech has improved even in thepast few years. 180Hz IPS with real-world very low input lag (all say 1ms but it's not true), I can just feel it's really fast and responsive even compared to my old 144Hz Zowie monitor. Was originally a $500 monitor in 2021 that I somehow got for $320, LG 27GP850

No IPS monitor has true HDR apparently but many have fake HDR400 certification, too bad Linux has no HDR support at all. It also has 10bit color but like literally everything breaks if you enable 10bit on amdgpu/xorg and it doesn't even look different anyway.

A lot of new monitors have backlight strobing, complete meme, makes the screen dark and I see red afterimages around things
