The Ryzen 3600 is by far the best deal I've ever seen in a CPU. I wouldn't have even bought AMD CPUs until Zen2 which came out in July.

It costs $195, and has single-core performance that matches $400-500 Intel CPUs, and also more expensive Ryzen 3000 CPUs.

And it's 6 core 12 thread. So for any software that can't use unlimited threads, like most emulation and games, it's basically like having a $500 9900k for $195. And it works better on Linux than Windows, most benchmarks you'll find were done on Windows with old BIOS versions.

Because my old CPU (Xeon 1230v2) couldn't emulate some games/consoles, play CSGO/OW without dipping below 144fps, or even play some PC games through Wine at full speed.

And Ryzen third-gen is such a massive improvement it's a major milestone in CPU technology.

They're the first AMD CPUs that don't have bad single-core performance.

It can run everything I want it to that's currently possible with high end CPUs>>5477
