Acshually, the oldest tree in the world is like 5000 years old so this lines up perfectly with my worldview. Although the underlying logic is the same as that behind radiometric dating of carbon content in fossilized bones I believe in the bible and NOT magic like grade school maths.

It doesn't, it's just that some of the stuff was made specifically for a tribe of Hebrews that God led out of slavery in Egypt, and he chose these people to try and make them good. He gave them very harsh laws.

He got frustrated with them and basically gave up.
