I don't understand how they couldn't get out.

I don't think anyone deserves to die for making Free!, but it was pretty bad.

Apparently a lot of the old time core talent has been lost.

Basically, Kyoani is permanently done, there will never be another Kyoani show ever again. If there is, it won't really be Kyoani.

Still a shame, because even though they chose to make gay shit like Free!, it was still the most talented studio in Japan aside from Trigger.
