oh my gosh my mpv.conf randomly broke and I had no idea why and it took me forever to figure out. it looks like they changed it so it reads profiles differently but now I fixed it and stopped caring
old:
[profile]
somestuff=…

this-setting-is-always-applied

new:
[profile]
somestuff=…

this-setting-now-only-applied-if-profile-is

I never put global options underneath my profiles to begin with.

Are you sure this is how it works now? How do you end a profile?

I don't know and I don't care, I just know that I moved all my globals to the top and now it finally works again after like an hour of troubleshooting
