Me and Dani were having a discussion about how water originated on Earth. Currently science doesn't know the answer to this, the best hypothesis is "maybe a bunch of water asteroids hit Earth?". There's no proof or evidence for that.
Asteroids hit other planets all the time and they don't have water. And it seems implausible that Earth got hit with enough asteroids to fill it it with such an extreme amount of water, Earth wouldn't even be here.
Hydrogen and oxygen gases don't just magically combine themselves into H20 in nature either.
We were also discussing the bible too.

>>23708>Hydrogen and oxygen gases don't just magically combine themselves into H20 in nature either. It's extremely easy to make water from hydrogen gas and oxygen gas. Simply mix the two gases together, add a spark or sufficient heat to provide the activation energy to start the reaction, and presto! You can try this at home, kids!

I don't really know anything about this but I have a theory. Lest say space used to be full of dust, gasses, etc. If some of this formed together it might get big enough to form an object with it's own gravitational field, then it would start sucking up everything around it including gasses. If it sucks up hydrogen and oxygen it might form water.
