It's 5:30 AM, and I had suddenly realized that I needed to put my garbage can out by the road. When I went outside, I looked towards the house across the street. There was a light on their driveway, and next to their car I could see what looked like a person bent over, like L from death note. Basically they greatly decreased the difficulty, and streamlined quest paths into complete handholding. They flooded the game with too many items/mounts/gold, dumb quests, and "advancements" that just ruined the game.
For example in old WoW you got mounts at level 40, and it was actually difficult to even get the amount of gold needed to buy it. Now you get them at level 20 and it costs practically nothing. Imagine that kind of thing applied to most aspects of the game. Nothing is special if everything is just handed to you.
There is Vanilla/BC private servers, but there's not many people on them.
