I wanted to maybe take it home to take care of it, but a have a dog and two cats and they'd kill the kotori-san for sure…Also I don't know if that would be a good option, maybe it just lost its way and his mother will find him… I'm upset

No.11223
>>11220That's a pretty delusional way of thinking.
Rarely in a fight is either one of the people literally trying to kill the other person. 99% of common fights are just people trying to kick someone's ass, not murder them. Taking out weapons like that is a really dumb move unless you know for sure that the person is trying to actually kill you.
>there are no medals lost for fighting with an unfair advantageYes there is. If you kick someone in the nuts in a fight, or do something really dirty, no one will respect you. Fighting is done for many reasons other than trying to actually kill someone.
No.11224
>>11223Uhh, i never said anything like "fight to kill and only kill". I think you and I are talking about different things.
I acknowledge that fights of honour or pride or whatever other shallow archaic qualities exist too. They typically manifest themselves as duels or "let's step outside", "come at me bro" shit. These fights are pathetic but I will agree with you that you might want to fight in a gentlemanly manner if you care about that shit to begin with.
Beside this, I'd say only 2 other sorts of fights occur.
- those in martial sports
- those out of violence
I think you and I agree that martial sports such as boxing, wrestling, martial arts etc. aren't part of this discussion. These are regulated and fighters are typically matched by their weight category. So complaining about reach isn't something new, you need to be faster or smarter or whatever to overcome someone with a physical advantage here.
However, in a fight of violence (such as a fight in self-defence or in aggression), there are no medals. No one is going to give you a fancy belt at the end of it and you can claim no pride in self-defence or aggression. I must emphasize right here that no one in their right mind would actually
want to be in this sort of fight. It would only be as a very, very last resort to protect yourself or someone you care about. These fights are unregulated. You are fighting only to stop the other person from attacking you and if that means fighting until someone collapses, then it must be done. Here, if you have no physical advantage, then you must make one for yourself. You act only out of necessity, not pride or anything comparable. Kicking someone in the genitals is a perfectly practical, effective, and acceptable way to defend yourself
if you absolutely have to. In this case, if you are protecting yourself and you have a physical disadvantage of reach, you'd equalize it in any way possible. i'd also emphasize here that you only fight until your opponent(s) is unable or unwilling to continue the fight which may or may not be until someone dies.
Hope I've clarified that.
No.11225
>>11224Of course I'm not talking about organized/sport fighting.
The kind of situation you seem to be talking about, one where you couldn't possibly run or avoid it, and are being attacked, would almost always be a situation where you could reasonably fear for your life and doing the stuff you're talking about isn't so bad. I already said this earlier, and what I'm saying is that's a small minority of fights.
In most cases a fight begins with both people provoking each other until it gets physical, with a person being able avoid the situation getting physical if they wanted to.

>>11268 I still laugh at how /what/-chan doesn't understand what sage means.
If only I knew moon so I wouldn't have to spend time on a board that imports foreign concepts and then DOES IT WRONG all the time.
Using sage as a way to "insult" someone's post or thread is just completely wrong and a retarded misuse of a good feature that is so popular in sites like 2ch and Futaba. Fuck, gnfos and 1chan do it right. It's just /what/-chan and /what/-chan's lame knockoffs that fail at using sage.
The true meaning of sage means that YOUR POST isn't worthy enough to bump the thread. It's ironic, because you think that you're insulting others while you're just, in fact, insulting yourself. Yes, sage can be used when posting a derogatory comment in a thread that you don't want to bump, but posting with just the word "sage" accomplishes nothing but contribute to spamming the board. The trend of replying with the name of a tripfag and sage is even worse, as it accomplishes nothing and only serves to increase the e-penis of whoever you're "attacking".
The sage feature was never meant to serve as an implied insult or general disagreement! Why people started using it that way is beyond me. There are plenty of reasons why one would choose not to bump a thread with his reply. For example, bumping threads with stupid one liner replies should be discouraged and those people should be coerced into using sage instead.
I want to use sage, yet I almost never do it on /what/ because people will jump on me thinking I'm insulting their post or something.
