To do one of those action things (*yourname jerks it) you type "/me jerks it" without quotes.
To PM someone named "whatmin", type "/msg whatmin your message here". It's generally considered rude to message someone without permission though.
You can write in colors! The way to do this is (probably) different on every irc client, so you'll have to look up how to do this.
If you want to type multiple lines at a time, write them in a seperate text editor, copy the lines, paste them into your irc client, and hit enter. There might be another way to do this.
To find anime episodes in bot channels (like #news on rizon) type "!find filename.mkv" and a bunch of bots will tell you what package number that file corresponds to. You don't need the entire filename to search, most people just use CRCs (the random looking number at the end of filenames. ex: 1D77D29D). To get the package numbered 1234 from the bot named "animebot" type "/msg animebot xdcc send #1234". The "#" is optional for most bots. If for some reason you need to cancel your download (maybe you started downloading the wrong file), type "/msg animebot xdcc cancel". Different clients deal with xdcc downloads differently, so look up info on the client you use.
