Why am I not allowed to say I like Death Note on /a/? Why is adding it to my 3x3 worthy of ridicule?

Sure, the fanbase is shit, as all fanbases are, and it's entry-level.

But there are far worse shows that you can watch in this season alone and the English dubs for it are watchable, enjoyable even. Which is a miracle in and of itself.

Is it just to stave off newfags? If so, why isn't Kill la Kill stigmatized in the same fashion?
