fuck up of the week
current headphones are old and headband had deteriorated along with ear pads but still sound good

decided to buy some new ones, was gonna get wireless but i only use them at home so kinda pointless
found some that looked alright and went to store to buy them, they didnt have the model on display but there were some others there that i figured were close enough and they felt ok

technical description stated removable cable so i bought a 5 meter 3.5mm cable to use instead of the paltry 1.4m they are supplied with

get home and unbox, they're sit-on-ear types. i thought they were full size cover-ear type
horrible barely padded headband, way too tight fitting, way too noticeable
cable detaches but is proprietary 2.5mm plug
and the sound is way too bass heavy and just shit

totally useless
if anyone wants a free pair of sennheiser "hd-400s" you can have em

stuck some new foam to the headband of my old ones (hd595s) which is what i should have just done in the first place

My ATH M50X had this piece that holds the earcup in place broken, unusable like this.

Stuck a little wooden skewer through it and it's perfectly fine.
