The problem with Darling in the Franxx is that there's too many characters.

Episode 9 of Franxx reminded me heavily of episode 10 from Evangelion (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Neon_Genesis_Evangelion_episodes)

Basically a rescue mission, but I felt nothing, I don't give a shit about any of the characters.

There's so many meaningless main characters and all of them feel very shallow, how am I supposed to give a shit about what happens to any of them?

I felt like I cared if something happened regarding the main characters of Evangelion, Asuka, Rei, Misato, or Shinji.

But boy I really don't care if Klaxosaurs kill the entire main cast of this show.

I compare it to Evangelion because that's what they're trying really hard to be.

Still the best show from winter 2018. Not saying much, the bar is set real low.
