I can't understand dates that aren't in americna format. I'm not sure which are supposed to be the month, day or year and they always seem to be in different places for every place that doesn't use american format.

It's actually the smartest because you pronounce dates like "January 4th 2015".

No.4416

>>4415
um like no?
you pronounce them like 2014, January 4

No.4417

>>4415
Only in English. And even then you can still say "4th of January".

>Only in English.

Well there you go. If you aren't American everything you think is irrelevant.

I wasnt trying to make this an argument I was just voicing my difficulties because of my tiny american brain

mmddyy makes sense because it's arranged in relevancy. Just the month tells you what quarter you're in and what season it is currently while date or a year are both loose info with no weight at all..

In certain applications you can't beat the Japanese yyyymmddhhmmss. Stick a timestamp formatted like that at the beginning of a filename, organize "alphabetically" and your files will always be in chronological order.

>>4415
>>4417
Pretty sure brits say "four january", while americans say "january fourth".
